He is actively involved with various Charitable Trusts. His Trusts offers free education for staff and medical facility for market and needy staff persons.
Shri Kamalji is Chairperson of the Geeta Devi Charitable Trust thru which various education related help and medical camps are conducted. One of the prime objective of the Trust is to help in marriages of the girl child of the under-privileged section of the society.
Shri Kamal Poddar is a Trustee in BIMA Charitable Trust thru which various Medical camps are held, Fees for education purpose and books are distributed. BIMA charitable Trust is actively involved in various community related social activities. Kamalji is a Trustee of Laxmi Venkatesh Trust, Varanasi, Shree Ram Panchayat Hanuman Mandir Trust, Haridwar, S.S. Gurukul at Warai, M.P. These trusts hold medical camps help in education related matters and conduct religious discourses of Bhagavad Gita, Ram Katha and Others.

Safeguarding the Environment

Being a processor of Steel, Geeta Udyog recognizes the heightened importance of its role in society in order to safeguard the environment.
It shuts off all electrical power for an hour every year in observance of Earth Day. This includes not just electrical power that keeps the facilities and equipment running but also every other source of electricity – however minute in comparison – such as air conditioners and computers. No source is too small in order to help the environment that sustains us.
Even though this leads to a slowdown in its production process, Geeta Udyog is proud of its contribution in saving electrical power – the mainstay of the steel industry – to the tune of 12% -13%!
